There are Dinos, and then there are those rare, superlative examples that distinguish themselves through originality, provenance, and factory specification. Chassis 04192 is one of them.

Delivered new on August 31, 1972 in Messina, Sicily, this 246 GT was first registered with the plate ME 165657—still worn to this day. It remained with its first owner until March 2000, when it was acquired by its second and current custodian, a Milan-based industrialist.

Chassis 04192 is one of only 35 examples built in the rare shade of Verde Pino Metallizzato, a deep green that enhances the lines of the iconic design by Pininfarina. This color subtly changes depending on the light, glowing in bright sunshine, while revealing a deep, almost “oscuro” tone in the shade. It is believed that only about half of the 35 Dinos delivered in Verde Pino Metallizzato are still on the road today.

In 2017, the car was awarded the Ferrari Classiche certification, confirming that it retains its original chassis, engine, gearbox, and bodywork, as well as its factory-delivered color scheme. The Classiche Red Book accompanies the car.

The Dino shows 84,000 km from new and has been consistently serviced by Ferrari throughout its life. Mechanically, it remains in excellent driving condition.

Chassis 04192 comes with all its original documentation and accessories: the original warranty card (Tessera di Garanzia), the Operating, maintenance and service handbook, the original 1972 Messina registration document, the original Messina license plates, as well as the original tool kit and jack.

Still registered in Italy, this Dino offers a rare chance to acquire a collector-grade, Classiche-certified 246 GT in a highly desirable color, with two-owner provenance, known history, and a comprehensive set of original documentation and accessories.
