Our Carrera 2.7 MFI is one of 1,011 European-specification Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe produced for the 1974 model year. It is the 63rd Carrera 2.7 MFI produced, with completion date 01/09/1973. It retains its original engine.
The car’s history is known, with only three private owners. It was first registered in Rome on 01/01/1975. We have no data from 1975 to 1977, but probably the Porsche dealership in Rome registered it and in 1977 sold it to the first owner from Pescara that appears in the Italian registers. The first owner kept the car only for 3 years, in 1980 he sold it to the second owner, also from Pescara, who kept the car for 42 years.
In 2022, a collector from Modena bought the car and did a total restoration at Carrosseria San Lazaro in Modena. The engine was restored by marque specialist from Borzano.
Following the restoration, in 2022 the car received the Certificate of Historical and Collector Relevance by the Italian Classic Car authority ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano).
Remarkably restored inside and out, with a full history, and an early production date, this Carrera 2.7 MFI is a rare find anywhere in the world, with its high-output, Euro-spec, fuel-injected engine.
The sale includes the on-board folder, toolkit, tire inflator, space saver spare, driver’s manual (official Porsche 2012 reprint), Porsche Certificate, original 1977 Italian registration certificate (Carta de Circolazione), a copy of the original Porsche vehicle order (Fahrzeug Auftrag), and a copy of the ASI Certification.
